Dr Marta Kamińska

A graduate of the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (2011), MA thesis: Old and modern methods of conservation and restoration of stained glass on the example of the stained glass window “St Peter” from the collections of the Jagiellonian University Museum Collegium Maius in Krakow. She studied in the Glass Conservation Laboratory at the University of Antwerp as part of the Erasmus programme. She participated in the "CONSTGLASS Conservation Materials for Stained Glass Windows" EU-Research Project (2010). In the years 2013–2016, she was employed as the main researcher in the research project "The use of modern physio-chemical methods and digital image analysis in the documentation, research and conservation of historic stained glass, on the example of a group of fourteen medieval stained-glass windows from Grodziec", carried out at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. In 2016, she obtained a PhD in the fine arts. Her doctoral thesis entitled "The Methodology of stained-glass investigation on the example of fourteen medieval stained-glass panels from the Grodziec Collection" was awarded by the General Conservator of Monuments and the Association of Monument Conservators.

In the years 2016–2019, she was employed as research assistant in the Studio of Stained Glass and Glass of the Faculty of Art Conservation and Restoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She currently works in Shanghai at Shanghai University of Engineering Science. A member of Corpus Vitrearum Polska since 2014.
