Justyna Kamińska

A graduate of the Adam Mickiewicz University in art history (2013) and Italian philology (2016) and of the Arts and Heritage studies (Maastricht University, 2014). A PhD candidate at the Institute of Art History of the Jagiellonian University, where she is preparing a doctoral dissertation on the medieval architecture of the church of St James and the Dominican friary in Sandomierz. She made study trips to Munich and Rome. Her research interests include brick architecture of the 12th and 13th centuries, the development of medieval mendicant architecture, and conservation doctrines of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In addition to research, she has been involved in the promotion of knowledge about art: she worked as a city guide, wrote texts on art history for the Multimedia Information Centre of the Wawel Royal Castle (2019) and is the founder (2016) and board member of the Meet Maastricht organization. In 2020-2021 she was the recipient of the Jagiellonian Interdisciplinary PhD Programme scholarship. Since March 2020, she has been responsible for administration and communication at Corpus Vitrearum Polska.
